The purpose of the T-lab is to encourage innovative approaches, services, processes and products in tourism industry in order to increase competitiveness of the region and the visibility of its tourist attractions.
The basis of the Laboratory of Tourism Potentials is integration and promotion of the realisation of innovative ideas in tourism with the use of new technologies. The basis is the experience of the established project ‘Bank of Tourism Potentials’ in Slovenia (BTPS), recipient of numerous international awards and certificates (World Tourism Organisation, European Commission, OECD and Nordic Innovation Centre). The successful practice of the BTPS will be upgraded with additional incentives for the users of the tourism-lab.eu portal, such as counselling, experiments, incubation as well as expansion of operations in the area of border regions in Italy and Slovenia.
