V slovenskem prostoru opravljanje poklica turističnega predstavnika (v tujini) nima stanovske organiziranosti, ki bi lahko pripomogla k izmenjavi dobrih praks, predvsem pa h kakovostnejšemu delu in povečanju tako prepoznavnosti poklica kot tudi krepitvi motivacije za opravljanje tovrstnega dela, ki je zelo kompleksno in zahteva širok spekter veščin in kompetenc od osebe, ki to delo opravlja.

Društvo turističnih predstavnikov bi lahko uredilo stanovsko organiziranost preko spletne strani, ki bi bila izhodišče za osnovne informacije, prav tako pa bi si predstavniki izmenjevali informacije in tako krepili kakovost svojega dela.

Informacije na spletnem portalu bi bile dostopne le registriranim članom, ki bi pa od sodelovanja imeli tudi več koristi: od možnosti e-seminarjev, izmenjave gradiv, mnenj...
